About Me

Prior to rabbinical school, I worked as an actress in New York City. Among my crazier credits include a stint as the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz and Grizabella in Cats! But once I started to work at the Manhattan JCC, I realized my heart truly lies in the Jewish world, and I decided to make the switch to the rabbinate.

I attended the Cincinnati campus of Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion, focusing my studies on Bible and Midrash. From beautiful, bitterly cold Michigan to the sunny fields of Kentucky, I have served as a student rabbi for three years in small pulpits across the Midwest. These pulpits gave me the courage to lead on my own and taught me about how to help small communities to grow.

Currently, I serve as the rabbinic intern at Adath Israel Congregation, a Conservative synagogue in Cincinnati. Working at Adath has given me a chance to learn Conservative liturgy so I can offer a flexible range of Reform and Conservative service styles.

Here in Cincinnati, I have also pursued a number of fellowships. I’ve spent summers working at hospitals, in political outreach, and for cemeteries. I’ve filed at the American Jewish Archives, promoted exhibits at museums, and planted for the local food pantry garden. Once I fall in love with a community, all my energy is devoted to helping it grow!
